Ubimage

Privacy Policy

Ubimage does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

Last updated: 25 July 2026

There is no account, no login, and no server operated by us. Everything the app does happens on your device.

What the app accesses, and why

Photo library
Ubimage reads the photos in your library, together with the GPS coordinates and dates saved inside them, in order to display them on the camera view in the place they were taken. Photos are never copied off the device, never uploaded, and never modified. The app does not write to your photo library.
Location
Your position is used to compute the direction and distance from you to each photo, so the pins can be drawn in the right place. It is held in memory while the app runs and is never stored on our side, because there is no our side.
Camera
The live camera image is the background your photos are drawn onto. Frames are never recorded, saved, or transmitted.

Place names

To show the name of a place (“Turin”) rather than raw coordinates, Ubimage sends the coordinates of a photo to Apple’s geocoding service, which is part of iOS. That request goes to Apple, not to us, and is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy. The resulting name is stored only on your device.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps a local database with the location, date and identifier of your geotagged photos, plus the place names it has resolved. It never leaves the device and is deleted when you delete the app.

Third parties

Ubimage contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Nothing about your use of the app is shared with anyone.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
